Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between cbd isolate, full spectrum, and broad spectrum cbd?

Cbd isolate products contain nothing but cbd. You could say that this is cbd in its “purest form”.

Full spectrum formulas contain everything that is extracted from the hemp plant – including THC. Although, the federal limit of THC content has to below 0.3%, which is nowhere near enough to even get you intoxicated. So don’t worry, you won’t get high from eating a few too many cbd gummies – you’ll probably just fall asleep!

Broad spectrum contains NO traces of THC. Broad spectrum formulas include only terpenes, cannabinoids, vitamins, minerals, and anything else that is extracted from the hemp plant, without the THC.

Do your products contain THC, and will I get high from taking them?

Simply put, no. You will not get high from consuming or using cbd products.

Most of our products are created using a full spectrum formula, which means that they do contain very small trace amounts of THC, but not enough to get you to that “special place”. We strongly believe that full spectrum formulas offer the most benefits, as the properties of THC are actually quite beneficial when consumed.

What is cbd?

cannabidiol (cbd) is one of the most prominent components of the hemp plant. This naturally-occuring substance is extracted from hemp and added to a variety of wellness products. Over the last few years, it has been the focus of extensive research and countless people have benefited from its health and wellness-boosting properties.

Cbd works in a unique way, as it binds to the receptors in your body’s endocannabinoid system. It has the power to affect the mind and body in many positive ways. It is ideal for people of all ages and has no known serious side effects. A quality cbd product is an excellent addition to anyone’s daily routine – whether it’s to relieve stress, chill out after a hard day’s work, or recover from those kick-ass workouts that you’ve been doing (and you better be consistent with them!!).

Are cbd and marijuana produced from the same plant?

No, cbd and marijuana are extracted from different plants. They do, however, stem from the same species of cannabis plant. There are three recognized species of cannabis plants – cannabis sativa, cannabis indica, and cannabis ruderalis. Both cbd and marijuana are derived from the cannabis sativa specieis. While cbd and marijuana both come from the same specieis of plant, they are derived from different strains of the sativa. cbd is derived from hemp, and MJ is derived from the marijuana species.

What's the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and MJ are different species of cannabis sativa, bred for different purposes. Industrial hemp is exclusively produced by cannabis sativa, while marijuana can be derived from cannabis sativa and cannabis indica. Both hemp and MJ contain cbd, but there’s a much higher percentage in hemp. Hemp also contains much lower level of THC (<0.3%) than the marijuana species. Industrial hemp is grown to be durable, have very long stalks, and as few flowering buds as possible – which makes it easier to extract the high amounts of cbd and smaller amounts of THC. Hemp’s chemical profile means that you can’t get high from it, and it is used to create medicinal remedies, food and oil, as well as other products – rope, bricks, natural ploymers, fiber, clothes, and so much more (we’ll spare you the long list). Marijuana strains of cannabis are typically smaller, flimsier, and have many flowering buds with the sole purpose of maximizing the concentration of THC. MJ is used recreationally and medicinally (through smoking and eating it).

What are the main benefits of cbd?

Currently one of the biggest trends in the wellness industry, cbd is loved for its effectiveness and versatility. When extracted form hemp, cbd can provide a host of mental and physical benefits throughout the entire body, promoting: stress relief; pain reduction; improved sleep; reduced inflammation; improved mood; limited nausea; and general wellness!

When you take cbd, you can gain the benefits of the cannabis plant without having to worry about any physcoactive effects (in other words, not being able to handle your shit!). That’s because cbd products do not contain an intoxicating amount of THC, which is the primary psychoactive drug found in the cannabis plant. Cbd is legal in all  50 states (though some states may not allow transportation of it), and will NOT impair judgement.
